Rapunzels-Braid

Ingredients

1 All Purpose Flour 1/2 cup
2 Instant Active Yeast 1/2 tsp
3 Sugar 1/2tsp
4 Salt 1/4tsp
5 Oil 1tbsp& 1 tsp for basting the tray
6 Lukewarm Water 3tbsp
7 Sesame Seed 1/2 tsp
8 Honey 1/2 tsp

Method

1 In a bowl, dissolve dry yeast& sugar in 2tbspof lukewarm water.
2 Add flour and salt to the above mixture.
3 Add 1tbsp lukewarm water (1/2 tbsp at a time) and mix well.
4 Lastly add 1tbsp oil (1/2tbsp at a time) &knead into soft dough.
5 Divide the dough to 3 equal portions, roll them into stripes(9 inch long).
6 Place the strips side by side and braid them together
7 Baste the baking tray with 1/2 tsp oil. Place the braided dough on it.
8 Baste the bread with 1/2 tsp oil and top it with sesame seeds.
9 After 30 minutes bake at 175°C for 20 minutes in a preheated oven.
10 Let the bread stand for a while. Serve glazed with honey.

Tips

1 Start brading from the center of the strips towards both the ends.
2 You can also try replacing honey with icing sugar.
