1 Unsalted Cooking Butter 1 and 1/2 tsp
2 Milk&All Purpose Flour 1/4 cup each
3 Baking Powder 1/2 tsp
4 Pineapple Essence 1/8 tsp
5 Sugar 6 tbsp
6 Egg 1
7 Salt 1/16 tsp
8 Pineapple As required, chopped
9 Chilled Fresh Cream 2 tbsp
10 Icing Sugar 1/2 tbsp
1 Mix butter & milk in a bowl & microwave for 45 secs. Let it cool.
2 Sieve flour, baking powder and salt into another bowl.
3 Beat egg, sugar and pineapple essencein another bowl.
4 Add the egg mix into the flour mix & mix well. Lastly, add the milk mix.
5 Line a 4/4-inch square shaped cake tin with butter.
6 Put the batter mix into the tin and bake at 200 ° C for 20 to 25 minutes.
7 Let the cake cool. Remove and slice the top layer off.
8 Whip the cream with the sugar, till it holds its shape.
9 Spread the chopped pineapple & spread a layer of cream frosting over it.
10 Place the other piece on top. Spread frosting on all sides (top layer also).
1 Sprinkle pineapple juice or sugar syrup on the sponge cake.
2 Garnish with pineapple slices and cherries.
3 Serve chilled.
