Foccacia (1 Serving)

What goes in?

1    All Purpose Flour    ¼ cup
2    Instant Active Yeast    ¼  tsp
3    Sugar    ¼  tsp
4    Salt& Pepper    1/8 tsp each
5    Olive Oil    3tsp
6    Lukewarm Water    3 tsp
7    Finely chopped Rosemary    1/8 tsp
8    Finely chopped Thyme    1/8 tsp
9    Finely chopped Parsley    1/8 tsp
10    Garlic    1 clove

Method:

1    In a bowl, dissolve dry yeast& sugar in 1 tspof lukewarm water.
2    Add flour and salt to the above mixture.
3    Add 2 tsp lukewarm water (1 tsp at a time) and mix well.
4    Lastly add 2 tsp oil (1 tsp at a time) &knead into soft dough.
5    Cover the bowl with a cling wrap and leave it for 30 minutes.
6    Baste the baking tray with ½ tsp oil. Place the dough onit.
7    Punch down the dough and spread it into a bed of ½ inch thickness.
8    Dimple the bread with your figure or fork and baste again with ½ tsp oil.
9    Top it with herbs like Rosemary, Parsley, Thyme & Garlic and pepper.
10   Bake at 180°C for 15 minutes in a preheated oven.

Facts and Tips:

1    If you prefer strong taste of herbs, mix the herbs directly into the dough.
